Thank you for bugging us all to get this data and for compiling it into these stunning facts!
Brokers should be calling you guys to say ‘thank you’ for raising this awareness. Change is needed for sure. It will be interesting to see what they do with this information. Brokers should be leading, training, setting standards and raising the bar… not lagging or hiding behind their own agents.
Thanks again… will be sharing this with my broker and team leader.

You seem to have captured the topic really well, interesting read, thankyou.

I am not a broker but I watched the video anyway. Chris and Katie you nailed it! I could especially relate to the reasons agents will leave. You listed them in the exact order of why I left my last brokerage. It is unfortunate because it is not something that I wanted to do but it just made sense. Good stuff!

Wow, I had no idea that so many top producers were in the office so little, that’s incredible!!!

I am a Broker and took everything you said to heart! Thank you for the insight.

Glad I took the survey so I would know where I fit in. Good stuff, Chris and Katie.
Like Ken I hope we can eventually get this in charts and written. I took notes furiously, but will need to watch again.
I can’t say there was any “surprises”,just more confirmation of my previous thoughts. Well one, that was Brokers hiring VA’s for the office was a great suggestion.

Chris, I feel comfort in your words and the real-world analysis you´ve shared here. As we speak, I´m registering a new dba (Doing-Business-As) with the State after having left Jan 4th my super reputable broker for a hands-off “100 percenter” setup. The original firm is still -by far- the best name in town but neither provide my team with leads nor have I learnt a thing from the meetings or needed technical support. Now, instead of riding in the trunk of a Rolls Royce I’m so ready to pilot my own Chevy Volt. Oh! more fun: the clients are indifferent to the broker change and just a few days and a couple closings later I´ve been able to upgrade our site´s IDX to an index-able system with a property data feed and this week we are signing a sublease for a just-decent office space. Entrepreneurship in Florida, anybody?
I hope that we can meet again in downtown Miami anytime soon.
Looking forward to the downloadable slides, thanks Chris!

Absolutely right on!! Culture and technology were why I left my old office.

In today’s environment one has to really question the value of any large franchise company. The education portion is very over-rated, especially since agents have so much access to information online that “in-house” education, training, technology, etc provides little additional value. This is further complicated by the fact that the largest of franchise spend a lot of their agents money actually competing against them for online marketing space.
I will be very interested to see this white paper. Generally speaking I think the correlations between just “having a page” or the “number of friends” and high producing agents is an oversimplification.

I just wanted to thank you guys again for the great info. Brokers need to bring the technology to their agents and hopefully now, with this information, they will begin to bring it!

I would be interested in knowing what the breakdown of the number of years these $100k agents have been in the business?
You didn’t mention that in the beginning but you eluded to 20 years at the very end and it wasn’t definitive.
Without that breakdown all the statistics given are meaningless… their is no way to put your discussion into context, at least from my perspective.

Just watched for the second time. Great job Chris.

Great info for broker owners to take heed the findings from this survey. The internet and social media have redefined the business and what matters to successful real estate agents.

WOW! Everything your saying is so true! Our brokers have no clue about what makes their Top producers a success. But now they know so what will they change? Show this video to all your agents and brokers. Wake them up!
