Hey Kathleen, thanks for the confirmation this stuff is working in the real world!

If you get a chance, can you please link to some example reports or posts that have worked for you?

Haha... I agree with the Ron Burgundy example completely Eric. I work with agents on social media training and find that it is best to show them how to OWN one outlet. Most of the time, the agent that is not engaging and just focusing on "my day" tweets, posts, etc... just simply doesn't know how to use it all properly so they sit on hoot suite posting about their day and feel like they are engaging and "doing what they are supposed to" in social media.

Instead of trying to be everywhere at once-
1. Analyze the data to see what site best fits your target audience
2. Where do you feel most comfortable engaging with potential or current clients - what system is the easiest for you to adopt.
3. If you have to spend a decent amount of time online, where would do you want to hang out? There is no sense in being miserable, you will never participate and the time really will be wasted.

Peter - great points! I became a better agent when I started blogging about market statistics and then later by generating some comprehensive market reports (using access and excel). I just know so much more about the market, where it's been, and where it's headed.
I know so many agents don't like numbers but it's one of those things you just have to suck up and do anyway!

I think this a a great idea. Giving someone 10K to use towards a home while generating a lot of exposure for your brokerage is a win win, and I think that 10K will generate more business than any other advertising they could have put it towards that wouldn't have helped anyone in return.

I must admit. Trulia is great at constantly creating new ways to profit from their website. Hats off to them for that. I'm sure these mobile ads will work for some agents.
